USFDA approved Ever Supreme's drug UMSC01 with clinical-go to perform Phase I clinical trial of allogeneic umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for treating acute ischemic stroke
Notice received on May 1, 2020, the US FDA agreed to IND on Ever Supreme’s product "UMSC01" of allogeneic umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for treating acute ischemic stroke.
With the Phase I of clinical trials, Ever Supreme Bio Technology has taken a step forward in the field of new drug research and development.
Product UMSC01 has the following advantages:
1. Non-invasive surgery: Due to umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells are used as the source, the umbilical cord of allogeneic donors does not need to undergo surgery for retrieval of tissues.
2. Autologous cell transplants: Since mesenchymal stem cells are functioned as specific Immunopriviliged and Immunomodulation, they are differed from allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation that will cause rejection. Therefore, no need for strict screening and matching before transplantation. It is a good source of allogeneic cell therapy, and mesenchymal stem cells can be transplanted from young autologous tissues. The isolated mesenchymal stem cells are much better in quality to those isolated from autologous tissues.
3. Excellent curing effect: Ever Supreme has obtained the exclusive licensing of Insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) stem cell culturing technology, and the mesenchymal stem cell preparation has good curing result. When develop cells using serum-free culture media in a qualified GTP lab, the IGF1R performance of UMSC01 is much outstanding.
4. Safety: Ever Supreme uses a serum-free stem cell culture system, which can avoid infection and allergies caused by using the serum instead.
5. Widely Use: mesenchymal stem cells can be applied to diseases such as neurological diseases, heart, liver, blood diseases, diabetes, and osteoporosis in the elderly.
Ever Supreme is Looking forward to providing new drug of allogeneic umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells to the people in the future, and bring people the hopes for new treatments.
